prominent suburb in the greater Denver-Aurora metropolitan area, Greenwood Village

The city is served by the Cherry Creek School District that serves seven of communities nearby in addition to the residents of Greenwood Village. This set-up allows students in Greenwood Village to attend schools in the surrounding area should they choose.
Places like Southglenn Mall, Cherry Knolls Shopping Center, and The Arapahoe Village Shopping Center are some of the most frequented gathering areas, especially during the weekends. Cherry Hills Marketplace is in the center of the city and is usually busy for most of the day. While it doesn?t have a lot of name brand retail stores, it has a lot of essential grocery stores, dry cleaners, and other daily living essentials.
Greenwood Village shares a lot of resources and facilities with its next-door neighbors, Centennial to the south and Englewood to the north. Cherry Hills Country Club, Glenmoor Country Club, John Meade Park, Three Pond Park, Hollow Park, and Cherry Knolls Park are also located on the edge of Greenwood Village. Heritage Village Park, Little Dry Creek Park, Milliken Park, and Curtis Park are all located in the heart of Greenwood Village and sponsor a number of recreational and cultural activities throughout the year.
