Lone Tree Real Estate Information
Situated at the junction of Highway 470 and the I-25, the town of Lone Tree and its
5,000 residents enjoy relatively quiet and peaceful lifestyles in Douglas County. The
community is relatively close and gathers many times a year for different occasions.
Some of the more frequented Lone Tree events include Arbor Day, A Taste of Lone
Tree Art and Food Festival, Big Screen on the Bluffs, Independence Day Celebration,
Passport to Culture, Wag-n-Romp, and a Summer Concert Series. Additionally, during
the summer, Lone Tree holds a number of special events, including family competitions,
cook-offs, swimming lessons, and other summer fun activities.
Just east of the interstate is the Centennial Airport that is actually certified as an international gateway, despite only receiving general and private aviation. Because of the customs facilities on location, the airport is one of the busiest non-commercial airfields in the nation. Quite a few of Lone Tree?s residents engage in recreational flying on the weekends.
An abundance of shopping is available both in Lone Tree and in the surrounding areas.
A number of the local retail centers are regionally popular and bring in shoppers from as
far as downtown Denver. Meadows Marketplace, Willow Creek Center, The Orchards
Shopping Center, and Heritage Green Plaza are some of the larger, more popular malls.
The Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree hosts dozens of vendors. Besides a well-
appointed food court and promenade of restaurants, the mall also features large
department stores like Nordstrom and Macy?s as well as some local specialty boutiques.
Recreation is a valued activity within the Lone Tree community. The local Community Center includes a gymnasium, fitness center, aquatics area, running track, and racquetball courts. In addition to this facility, Lone Tree also maintains a number of neighborhood parks, like Sweetwater Park, Acres Green Park, Altair Park, Cook Creek Park, Historic Cheese Ranch Park, and Willow Creek Park. The sprawling Highland Heritage Park is well-known for its intriguing greenery, wonderful trails, and large, open fields. Golfers are in paradise with Lone Tree Golf Course, South Suburban Golf Course, Meridian Golf Club, and Inverness Golf Course all within a few minutes? drive from the center of town.
